Christmas Party Staples with Yves Rocher | Beauty

When the party season hits we always look for ways to glam up, A new sparkly nail polish, or that new glitter eyeshadow quad that came out just for Christmas. Well rather then posting about all the extras, today's post is all about the staples I'll be needing!

So aside primer, foundation & concealer there is 3 things I know I'll be putting in my makeup bag this Christmas party season and that's Perfume, Mascara and Lipstick. Yves Rocher think they have the perfect trio for you this Christmas which includes the Flowerparty By Night fragrance, The Lash Plumping Mascara and their Moisturising Cream Lipstick in the shade Rose Alba.

The Flowerparty By Night* fragrance is actually 50% off at the moment for only £19 which is a great price for a 50ml perfume. It's similar to their original fragrance but this is a more "spicy night time version" with these gorgeous light fruity floral notes with a hint of a cheeky licorice scent. It's a really light fragrance with your average staying power. Not too overpowering but a fragrance I think anyone could wear both day and night!

The Lash Plumping Waterproof  Mascara* which is currently BOGOF ( buy one get one free ) for just £17.50 has fast become my everyday mascara for the past week. If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I'm a fussy sort with my mascara, I know what I like and I HATE panda eye and spider leg lashes so I'm always a bit dubious of using a new mascara but I actually love this plumping one. It coated my lashes well and although I wouldn't say they looked plumped, they certainly looked defined and I found after using my eyelash curlers they held really well.

Lastly the Moisturising Cream Lipstick* in the shade Rose Alba which is also 50% off for £7.50. As soon as I took the lid off and smelt it it reminded me of that " grandma " smell. It's a smell I personally like, one that you would always smell when going through your grandma's makeup and lipstick collection haha. The colour as you can see above ( 1st pic is with flash, 2nd is without ) it's quite a warm coral pink on my hand with a high shine but it actually looks quite sheer on the lips. The Lipstick formula is lovely, It was really hydrating and the coverage was nice and it wasn't too bold. Perfect with any skintone and I have to add, It has that satisfying click when you close the lid haha.

What are your Christmas Party Staples?
