Being a FAT Beauty featuring The Plus Size Lingerie Boutique | Fashion

Christmas is but a few days behind us now with New Years fast on it's way and I think everyone knows somebody that knows somebody that wants to go on a diet for 2015 and I thought, with everyone flapping about their appearance and how much they hate their body after eating copious amounts of turkey and stuffing and those pigs in blankets ... *wipes drool* I would start my body acceptance series where I feature several plus size Lingerie brands and talk about body confidence and today's post is all about The Plus Size Lingerie Boutique..

I always love a bit of colour in the bedroom and when I saw this gorgeous Purple Point D'Esprit Mesh Babydoll* I knew it was the perfect colour for me. It was slightly darker in person as the picture made it look more lilac on the website but I think If I'm honest, I prefer this colour more! I got it in a 4X which I find fits my 24-26 body shape quite well. Generally in babydolls they come up bigger where most of the items on the Plus Size Lingerie Boutiques website comes as 1X - 4X which sizes as a size 16 - 20 ( items like their costumes, chemises, body stockings) The Babydolly however gives you an additional size which is still 1X-4X but is more 18 - 22. I think for someone who is a size 24-26 like me, they might be able to wear a 4X babydoll depending on how it sits and where they carry their weight. The length of it was a tad short as you can see in my belly picture above, it just skims under my belly so if you have a belly like myself, it might be worth baring that in mind. In terms of cup It was a little baggy around the bust area which I found made my boobs sag slightly, Thankfully, It does come with adjustable straps and has a 3 hook at the back so one can tighten it! I appreciate with babydolls its sort of a " one size fits all " bust with the under wiring and considering how long it stays on for wink wink, I can live with a bit of sag. Oo la la!

Stop Body Shaming, Start Body Loving

I started this post telling you about the mad rush of people about to start a diet because they hate how they look or that they have piled on the pounds over the festive period which is understandable,
lots of reasons to socialize this time of year, lots of nibbles and naughty hot chocolates to keep us warm this winter that end with using half the packet of marshmallows, ( hopefully I'm not the only one :P ) and I'm here to tell you, you don't need a diet to be happy. You can love yourself at any size and you can love your body even when you are dieting. so you've packed on a few pounds over christmas, a couple of days after, you will be back to your normal eating routine and that extra tyre ring full of pigs in blankets and mince pies will soon disappear again! Don't think just because you've put on weight that you HAVE to diet. Do it because you want to, do it because you LOVE your body and want to keep it fit and healthy.

I work out because I love my body not because I hate it

I'd like to think my beauty comes from having my own style, living my own way and knowing my own mind. Alot of people might think having blue/green hair isn't "pretty" but I love it and I wear it with confidence. People may think showing a bit of skin that's flabby like my above pictures doesn't look "beautiful" and I can tell you right now, I have never loved my body MORE then I do right now in these photos. I have faught so hard to have my mind catch up to my mouth. I talk a good game and come across so confident but I still get those negative thoughts like we all do, the ones that tell me I look fat and ugly, the ones that tell me to put something baggy on to hide my curves and wobbly bits. It's taken me a long time to accept the skin that I'm in and when I did, It was even harder to face that I wasn't taking care of my body enough, that I was unfit, unhealthy and that was when I knew I needed to lose weight. I'm not getting caught up in the numbers, I'm not NOT having chocolate, I'm simply taking control of what I'm putting in, and loving my body every step of the way.

I wanted to show you all that despite being plus size, fat, obese, whatever word you want to use, there is one word that I KNOW describes me in these photos above and that's beautiful. I don't need to wait till I've lost a couple stone to start loving my body, I love my body NOW and It's because I love my body I'm dieting. I am following Slimming World and in the almost 6 months I've lost over 2 and a half stone. I've been enjoying food, enjoying seeing my body shape change and I've been loving my new found confidence that I can say is all from accepting my size, and loving myself enough to realise I could look and feel better.

A huge thank you to The Plus Size Lingerie Boutique for helping me feel even more gorgeous! ( The boyfriend thanks you too :P )

  7. You sexy thing, you!
    Love this post!!

Um in terms of what I like about my body, I'd probably say my legs as they are the smallest (in comparison) part of me.

I think i still have a long way to go with the whole confidence thing.

I LOVE your figure. Think you look banging 24/7 babe. Confidence is whatever you want it to be. I feed mine, often coming across like arrogance but I just know I'm the fucking bomb.com and anyone that disagree's can because that's their opinion and I'm only interested in what I think of myself and not some tom, dick or harry. ....is it wrong to tell you I'd give you one? haha xxx

    1. Confidence starts from within, you can be as confident as you want, aslong as you choose to be! :) Let everything and everyone elses opinions drop to the back of your mind and love yourself and thats a good place to start :) x

  13. It is so refreshing to see this, January and the whole dieting thing drives me mad, every magazine and fitness video just screams " you are ugly". I've always thought that self confidence is far more sexy than just looking good. You go glen coco! I feel more comfortable in lingerie than I do in normal clothes, although that could be down to my boyfriend making me feel beautiful nekkid :). Hope you had a lovely xmas =^_^=

    1. I think one can lose weight, gain weight or stay the same and still be confident and beautiful. It's not about how many inches show on a tape measure, its about loving the body you have and if you want to change it, You can. I want to feel confident AND be sexy and look good and I think by being confident I can do both and so can anyone :)

I did have a lovely Christmas babe, I hope you did too! xx
