Bandelettes | Fashion

As a larger woman one of the biggest issues I have is chaffing thighs or as we in the plus size community like to refer to it as, Chub Rub. I have worn mens boxers, I have cut leggings, I have cut tights all of it to try and aid my chub-a-chub a-rubbin' and I was delighted to get the oppertunity to try a pair of Bandelettes* | link.

Bandelettes are a lace garter if you will with a silicone rubber on the inside to help them stick to your thigh with the idea of sitting where your chub would rub and the material would rub instead of your skin. They come in several different styles but I was sent this gorgeous black lace style. I personally feel I should of gone down a size as I felt they were too big on me. One of the issues I found was that because my legs are so big, the top would roll down and it wouldn't sit flat, and If I'm honest I can imagine them being a pain if I was walking down oxford street doing lunge like steps to try and adjust them without getting my thighs out in public to do it. I have the same issues with stockings, they roll down and don't stay up and don't sit well and it puts me off them 100%. If I can't be comfortable standing still in them, How will I walk in them?

= So emailed Bandelettes and got a smaller size sent out as I really love the idea and they were more than happy to do so and the smaller ones fit alot better. I think rather than wearing shorts or a cut up pair of tights or leggings having this sexy lace garter round my thigh is certainly a step in the right direction but I'm not 100% sure its the answer to my chub rub.

  3. I went to Las Vegas a few months ago and wanted to die because I forgot my tights. I hate chub rub so much. I wish I could wear more dresses without worrying.

  4. Leggings. Leggings, leggings, leggings. You will never find me without either leggings or tights, even in the hottest weather. I just cannot bear chub rub.

    1. lol I know, I just hate always wearing them, I think if a dress is a certain length it looks stupid with leggings or tights, I've seen so many outfits look horrid because people have worn leggings or rights with it so it always puts me off and puts me on a hunt to find something I can wear haha xx

  5. Hehe. It's so hot here all of the time but I can't stand leggings (unless its part of the outfit) or tights so I just opt for pants at all times. :-)

    You got my vote, hun!

  7. The best thing I've found for chub rub, and it hasn't failed me yet, is the dove cream stick deodarant. Not the rollerball or spray, it's the cream stick one. Just apply to the areas ( this can look very dodgy, best do it in private) and away you go. I used it all summer and it is fantastic
