Newlook's Inspire Floral Rocks Day or Night OOTD

It's here, It's here, The Sun is here! Now, I hold my hands up, I am one of those plus size women that strip off in the Spring / Summer and bust out the shorts. As soon as I see a glint of sun shinning through the clouds I hop into my skimpy little cami's and maxi dresses and start thinking about summer BBQ's and paddling pool's!

Now excitedly you all may of seen on my facebook ( If you haven't liked my facebook page you can do that here ) that I was kindly asked by Newlook to pick out a couple of items from their new Inspire Spring / Summer Range ( goes upto a size 32! ) and as someone who has 3/4 of a wardrobe FULL of Newlook Inspire clothes, It was an absolute treat to say the least!

Floral Rocks Day or Night!

So one of the biggest prints this SS14 is going to be the floral and I for one am well on the flower power train. Now with the days getting lighter for longer, This is the time where I'll be out and about be it shopping or feeding the ducks and I'll get that text message If I'm free to go round a friends house for a BBQ  or if I fancy a cheeky cider in my local beer garden and with an outfit like this one, I could rock my florals Day or Night!
So I wanted to also show you my makeup for this look, Both for daytime, and using the same palette and a different lippy to turn it effortlessly into evening too!

I hope you enjoy my video on how I created these looks and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them below and pop over and give my video a thumbs up! Would be lovely for Newlook to see how much you all like my first look!

I thought long and hard, because lets face it, I'm not going to act cool, like I didn't have15 tabs open of items I saw and said " OMG I NEED THAT!". Finding clothes from Newlook Inspire has never been a problem for me. They always keep their site updated with new styles and prints and I always find them bang on trend, I've been loving a classic monochrome look these past months and Newlook Inspire already have over 5 dresses in monochrome that are going to fit me and compliment my figure perfectly. I did manage to wishlist some items and ended up with my shortlist of bits that I'm going to show you over 2 posts!

I knew I wanted this look to be floral and the Inspire Black Rose Print 3/4 Sleeve Bodycon Dress £17.99 was one of the first that caught my eye. I immediately feel in love with it, I opted for a size 26 in this dress as it did say it was a bodycon. I personally don't like something too clingy but that is a personal preference. I usually wear a size 22 for their shirts and skater dresses but if something doesn't look like it has alot of give I'll go up a size and in this case, 2 sizes and I'm really glad I did. The dress is a quality jersey cotton material which is perfect for that little bit of stretch even though its a bodycon, Because of the material and that I got a larger size I wasn't worried about feeling too buldging in it and even though I wore tights with it, I wasn't worried about pulling it down or away from my figure to make it baggier or the general fussing we do to an outfit when we don't feel 100% comfortable in it. I loved how it sat against my body, It had the lovely round neck which I'm always a fan of and the 3/4 sleeves made it perfect to wear during the day if I'm out and about on its own or as the day goes on couple it with a jacket for evening to smarten the look up.

I chose the Inspire Shell Pink Crepe Blazer £26.99* as firstly, its in pastel pink. This was a huge deal to me! There is hardly anywhere and I mean ANYWHERE catering for the plus size market with a healthy pastels colour choice and I've been searching high and low and when this little beaut came up I had a fashion flash. Now I know you all know what a fashion flash is, Especially you other fashion bloggers. I like to call a fashion flash when you are shopping online and you see an item and you automatically see it in about 45 different combos, either worn with a skirt or jeans or you have that perfect pair of shoes that would look great and oh if you had your hair like this it would look so cute and BOOM..Fashion Flash. Before you know it, it's in your basket and your on looking for the next thing haha. I know I'm not the only one!

When it comes to turning an outfit from day into night I always find a blazer is key in this transition. That and a evening lippy but we will get onto makeup later in the post. This blazer has a gorgeous cut, No buttons, just a simple pink jacket with turn up sleeves, It would look smart with just a white tee and jeans but I opted to wear it with my floral dress and I think they look amazing together!

Now accessories are a girls best friend and I wanted to stick to a similar colour theme in my necklace and nail varnish choice but go with a brighter bag. My Cream, Pink & Mauve faux pearl necklace from primark went perfectly for that added bit of glam to complete the look, for nails I opted for Essie's Gucci Mucci Pucci , I mentioned this in my Essie Nail post for my essential colours this Spring / Summer and I'm already showing off my pretty pastel pink nails which keep this look looking girly and flirty. My look wouldn't be complete without my Accessorize Mari Tote bag £30.

Now before I talk about makeup, I just had to share this last pic with you for my look, I was trying to look like a model and be all  *swishes hair in the wind and looks all sexy like i'm looking into the distance*

I look so moody hahaha but there is a sense of determination in there... empowerment perhaps!
