Top - Primark

Necklace - Primark
Hair Bow - Parma Violet Medium Glitter bow from Crown & Glory
Clutch - Primark
Shoes - Marks & Spencers

As a plus size woman, my heart always aches a tad when I see outfits purchased from topshop or zara or any clothing line that doesn't fit anyone over size 16. There was a time Primark only did a size18 and even that was too tight for me in certain items. Not only my big bust but my big belly would bulge out if the shirt came up too short and it just looked horrendous. In the last year I have seen more size 20's in my local in Sutton, and for once I feel I can be in trend and have a bank balance that doesn't scream empty.  For £6 for a new shirt, I ended up getting a few different ones all that could be styled with a pencil skirt or leggings or even some jeans!

I'm sure plus size ladies shouldn't wear checks ( or stripes or this or that ) BUT sod social standards.... I'm a big girl and honestly? I'm going to look big in whatever I wear because I AM big. I refuse to stay in the safe zone and get baggy everything this year so even though it hugs my shape, I think I look rather cute ( The bow certainly helps :P. )

I hope you lovely lot like my outfit of the day!
Is primark a place you now plan on hitting up to stay in trend this spring??
Have you done a Primark  haul recently?

    1. Thank you very much Rachael! I hate feeling like I can't wear certain things because I "shouldn't". I LOVE this top, its a bold print that I think anyone can pull off! I'm lucky I have Croydon Primark which is quite big! :D

  4. Forget the checks/stripes rule, you look great! I never listen to it, as long as I feel comfortable and like the way I look in the clothes... Love this outfit, it's something I'd like to wear myself so I'm quite jealous. AND I can't get over those bows, they are killing me how just lovely lovely they are.

    Much Love,

    1. Oh my god the bows are amazing haha. I've turned into a bit of a glitter bow nazi! I just have to work them into my look! I think you are right, obviously I want to compliment my figure and certain things wont do that but I hate being defined to wearing just black to slim me down. VIVA LA REVOLUTION! x
