Munchin' while on my menstrual cycle | week 5



Hello beauties,

Sadly this week I didn't weight myself. It's that time of the month when Aunt flow comes dropkicking my uterus / I ride the crimson wave, and needless to say, my diets taken a back seat to my hot water bottle and a need for chocolate in or around my mouth.

This has had a further sadface impact because I've felt like I've taken a huge step back and completely lost my momentum. I find when I'm in the zone I'll be doing great but every now and then I'll have a bad day on purpose and really treat myself and then just carry on. It feels different though when its that time of the month. Nothing seems to interest me food wise, and when I do want to eat, I want it to be something naughty so this week has been a very tough one for me. I know once I'm off and aunt flow buggers off I will snap back into my focused mind set, soooo this week I thought I'd do myself a favour and not weigh in as to not dishearten myself. I'm off on Thursday so I'm going to be doing my video in the morning and in the afternoon do some wiifit yoga.

Also this week again I haven't really been tracking my calories. I haven't eaten as many as I should which is just as bad as eating too many. Contrary to what people think, skipping meals wont help you lose weight either.

SOOOOOO with all that said, I'm hoping to get my head in the game for this Sunday! If I have put on weight then I think it just goes to highlight I need to try harder to lose it AND keep it off :)

  1. I know exactly what you mean, that time is the worst and I usually refuse to hop on the scale a week before and sometimes a week after, just because I'm too nervous.. hahah. I hope that after you can find a way to get back on track!

I actually started tracking again today, I got sick of feeling crap or like I'm giving up so took the time to calorie count everything today and even though it wasnt a huge deal, it made me feel better doing it. So thinking I'm back in the game now lol.. If there is any luck, ill weight myself sunday and it wont be a hugeeee gain lol xx

  2. Don't worry about it chica :-) things happen like that. As long as you have the motivation to carry on when you are feeling better! You havee been doing great so far so chin up!

      I'm glad its inspirational. It can be hard if you know you have a long way to go. BUTTTT the way I see it is, its either getting fatter or getting fitter, and I don't wanna get fatter lol :D xx

    1. haha doing so well.. you haven't seen the crap I've eaten. ahh im only kidding, i know ill be all back to the grind next week it just sucks instead of being 1 day or 1 slip, its felt like a whole week of slipping. Totally glad I avoided the scales!! xxx

  7. Ah being a girl sucks sometimes doesn't it?! I want nothing but chocolate when I'm on. I think you've done right skipping weighing yourself this week. Just remember that one bad meal or naughty treat isn't the end of the world and to get back on track next week :). Good luck. x

  8. I'm in exactly the same position! I ate so much junk last week - lots of chocolate! (blame it all on mother nature). I can totally relate to how you're feeling. Great post and don't lose hope :) x
